Goodbye to Eels.nl

As every visitor over the past few months would have noticed, Eels.nl seriously has been lacking in updates. With a new tour coming up, we felt that we had two choices. One: make time and get our shit together. Two: If we can't properly update, we might as well call it a day.

And the latter is exactely what we'll be doing. This site has been conceived late 1996 and has been running since april 1997 (even before there was eelstheband.com) and has probably been the longest running Eels website on the internet.

And especially the past few years it had been somewhat of a struggle to keep it going. With all kinds of web 2.0 initiatives such as Setlist.FM, Eels.nl had become outdated. We tried to get a new and interactive version of the site going, but could not find the time and motivation to push forward.

That said, over the majority of years past, we have been enjoying making this site very much. We think it's now time to thank you all for the visits, the sending of setlists, comments and reviews and of course all the support.

Last but not least we like to thank the various incarnations of EELS for rocking the globe. It's been the enthousiasm for the always wonderful gigs that has kept us going for almost 15 years. For all of you going to see the Tremendous Dynamite In 2011 tour, we say what has always been our motto:
