The ALMOST ACOUSTIC X-MAS is an annual festival held by radiostation KROQ. In 1996 not only EELS but artists such as Screaming Trees, Beck and Bloodhound Gang were on the bill. EELS surprised everybody by entering the stage dressed up as Christmas presents. The entire show was broadcast on KROQ radio and was later released on the original Westwood One Absolutely Live In Concert cd. Also, the show was aired again on Westwood One (minus If I Was Your Girfriend) in the weekend of January 27/28, 2001.
