Butch's diary:
Nov. 6, 2001: Zurich, Switzerland. Koool G and I head back up to the Alps today to wait for some snow. It sure is cold enough, but show time rolls around and we have to head back down the mountain before any of the white stuff is spotted.
Tonight's opening act, Christoph Staerkle, is a great and original mime. It takes him 10 minutes to walk on stage, in slow motion, looking like the crazy old Professor Irwin Cory (ask your parents. Oh, wait, they won't know who he is either. Damn. Well, trust me - it was cool). To our collective relief, E doesn't say a word all night. He seems genuinely happy just to be there. It's a great crowd. We are swept up in a snowstorm of rock. I guess Koool G and I went looking for rock in all the wrong places.
