EELS came onstage amidst a complete wall of distortion and noise, which continued for about 5 minutes while E and The Chet adjusted their pedals to contribute to the noise. While E only addressed the crowd once or twice (during the encore he exclaims what a "beautiful 6-6-6 it is in Salt Lake City"), Krazy Al dressed as security provided the crown with insightful song information. ("I want to wrestle you in a non-sexual manner") Upon E's instruction Krazy Al also greeted several crowd members (though not before donning a protective rubber glove before shaking any hands) and provided some lucky folks with a mouthful of squirtable whipped cream.
