info

It seems that the two appearances by E in Rachel Fuller's In The Attic internet broadcasts have paid off when E was invited to perform as a special guest on Fuller's november 7th, 2006 Los Angeles performance, along with Pete Townshend and Billy Corgan. The show sold out within minutes. Not a big surprise. It would have sold out in minutes with any of the three guests on the bill.

In the press Billy Corgan (supposedly quite nervous on stage) got most of the attention. Especially because he was performing new Smashing Pumpkins material. But for a lot of people E, switching between guitar and piano, stole the show, with witty remarks about his 'opening act' Pete Townshend and by playing a nice selection of EELS classics that did not (although Flyswatter 'almost did') rock. A nice change of tune compared to the other 2006 shows.

If you missed them before, check out E chatting (and singing) with Rachel Fuller and Pete Townshend on the official website here: E IN THE ATTIC. Or check out the IN THE ATTIC website for images, sounds and articles about Rachel Fuller and Pete Townshend and of course their encounters with Mr. E.
