VARIOUS DATES 2001
The album
Souljacker saw the return of the ROCK in the music of the EELS. The tour that followed the album featured both John Parish (known for his brilliant work with PJ Harvey and Sparklehorse) and Koool G Murder as EELS. Both can be heard on the
Souljacker album as well. The so called
Bus Driving band Rocking Tour sees the EELS travel to Japan for the first time.

EUROPE 2001 - Leg 1
The tour had quite a rough start, as the album was not yet released in August and the festival audiences - all eager to hear the 'hits' instead of the new songs - did not give the 'new' EELS a warm welcome. The club shows were more succesful and no matter how you look at it, the EELS gave everybody something different than expected.

U.S.A. 2001 - Last shows of the year
In 2002 a tour though the United States was planned. So the remaining parts of 2001 were taken as a little bit of a rest. The 'TBA' shows in the itinerary were never played and these are the last gigs of the year. Mind you, the EELS still rocked hard as ever!
