U.S.A. 2002

Finally, a full blown EELS tour through the U.S.A., the first since 1997. The setlists are about the same as the shows played in Europe in 2001. The band has slightly changed though. John Parish has been replaced by Joe Gore as Parish takes time off to become a father. His daughter Hope was born at 8.45 am on February 19th, weighing 7lbs/3.18 Kilos. It was reported that had the baby been a boy he would have been named 'Baby E'. In a statement made on the steps of DreamWorks Records International Headquarters EELS singer E said: "I'm still calling her Baby E."

U.S.A. - other events in 2002

After the tour, E keeps busy. He's writing songs and performing with various artists. In November 2002 the complete touring band of that year goes into the studio, where the 2003 album Shootenanny! is recorded in only 10 days.
